It has been a bad year for my photography, what with worstening health and a home move thrown in - and, of course, the chronic weather we have had. When my mobility is at its worst, the sun comes out - when mobility improves (slightly), it thashes it down!!! The best I have been able to make of it all was to toy around with existing images and filter/HDR/other effects in Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 (and since last week PSPvX4).
This image has had an 3-exposure HDR tone-mapping (from a single CR2 RAW original) AND an 'Impressionist' effect added, so it looks like it is composed of small brush marks. I have just had it printed out at A1 size (841 x 594 mm) for an exhibition at the Preston Minster (running October 8-11). Below is the full image and a detail blow-up, to show the effect).
